Theme Parks in North West

Only one of the eleven is a theme park in the rides sense. Gulliver's World Theme Park in Old Hall is pitched at ages 2 to 13, with indoor and outdoor areas and free parking. Water options split by age. Subtropical Swimming Paradise in Cumbria is the indoor, all-weather choice with genuinely separate toddler zones. Wild Shore Delamere at Northwich and Wild Shore Blackpool near Preston are aqua parks for confident swimmers, from about 6 and 8 respectively, with Delamere's sessions a short 50 minutes. Hollingworth Lake Water Activity Centre in Littleborough offers open-water paddleboarding for older children, plus the Pennine Queen Wheelyboat for wheelchair users.

For older kids, Haigh High Ropes Adventure in Wigan takes ages 6 and up, with instructors praised for coaxing nervous and autistic children through the course. Adventure Now - Outdoor Activities in Manchester runs axe throwing and shooting with minimum ages. Scare Kingdom in Blackburn admits nobody under 13.
