“Autumn Steam Gala is worth visiting, not just for steam enthusiasts, as they offer enhanced timetables with visiting and home-fleet locomotives. Heritage stations, workshops, and special rides like Brake Van experiences which you pay extra. Well-maintained stastions and facilities, detailed displays of locomotives and rolling stock, and enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers. It's possible to view the workshops, and restoration areas, to get behind-the-scenes views and appreciate the hard work that goes into running and maintaining the line. Great day out.”

“Great Experience with the family. Booked 1st class tickets at reasonable prices for the kids. It was a wonderful evening with lots of great lighting on the traun, aswell as food and entertainment on the train. Thank you for making a great evening !!”

“We went to the Steam Illuminations for Christmas. Its a lovely idea, although the experience was nostalgic travelling in the old first class carriages, it was in my opinion overpriced for what we got. There was little entertainment on board with hardly any interaction with staff. Voice over man was a good act to have although that wasn't very often during the journey. Memorabilia could have been better. The carriages were decorated with lots of lights & the illuminations were a bit flat and underwhelming with the same colours pretty much throughout the journey. Like I said great for nostalgia but not so much entertainment.”
