“Wow - what an amazing experience! We did a half day family caving experience in Goatchurch Caverns in Feb 2023, with two adults, an 11 year-old and a 5-year old. Carol was our guide and was absolutely superb at putting us all at ease, guiding the group, and finding exactly the right way to engage and challenge every member. She was so skilled, and that helped us all to enjoy it all the more. It was a truly memorable experience and I can't recommend Rock Outdoors more highly.”

“Brilliant wet caving experience! Superb trip into Swildon's hole with the awesome instructors at RockOutdoors! We were quite a big group with many first timers - and Dean and Carol were wonderfully patient and supportive, building the confidence of the group as we went through the caves. Definite 5 stars from us and can't wait to go again!”

“We had an awesome day with Neil and Carol wet caving at Swildons hole. The cave was really cool and both Neil and Carol instructed our large group well through the Cave system as well as explaining the cave structure and educating us on how it was created. Really good day out and would recommend to anyone. Thanks again”

Overview
Rock Outdoors is based in Burrington Combe in the Mendips and offers outdoor rock climbing, abseiling, and wet and dry caving for families from age 5. Instructors Carol, Neil, and Dean lead groups through Swildon's Hole and Goatchurch Caverns for caving, and use limestone cliffs across the Mendips and Cheddar Gorge for climbing sessions. Navigation courses are also available. All equipment and safety guidance is provided.
