“I spent a bit of time at Philips Park recently, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite escapes in Manchester. It’s tucked away right behind the Etihad Stadium, but once you step inside, the city noise just disappears. What I really liked about it is how it doesn't feel like a flat, boring park; it’s full of steep little dips and hidden paths that lead down to the River Medlock. I went on a slightly misty morning, and the wooded areas felt properly wild—I almost forgot I was a ten-minute tram ride from the city centre. The flower beds near the entrance are kept really well, and it’s a great spot to just sit on a bench and watch the world go by. It’s got a much more relaxed, "locals-only" vibe compared to the busier parks nearby, and it’s perfect if you just want a bit of headspace.”

“Great spot for a walk with plenty of open space and nice paths to explore. It’s well kept and has a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Perfect for getting some fresh air and spending a bit of time outdoors, definitely recommend if you're into picnics”
