“Love this place... cycling along the canal path and decided to call in. Very friendly staff who are knowledgeable and passionate about the museum which is fascinating and plenty to see. Had the pleasure of seeing the engine room in glory with the impressive engine working. Had a lovely lunch in the beautiful cafe and finished the day with a few photos in the miners cottage”

“Lots to see, history and machinery. Lovely volunteers, very engaging people, went with a photography group, very accommodating. Not posh but with plenty of character and informality in buckets instead. I enjoy macro photography, had a great time.”
