“Fabulous tour with Bob who happily shared his knowledge on all things signalling. Including the almost live signalling operation of Epping station at the end of the tour. The little museum displays such an array of artefacts and of course the big yellow shunting locomotive where you can sit in the drivers seat. Really enjoyed this visit. Thank you Bob and all the other volunteers to keep this bit of history alive.”

“An excellent visit to the Epping signalling museum. The volunteers were very knowledgable and very passionate in what they do - It is extremely rare they let you touch the signalling control columns, let alone letting you to test it. We had an excellent time and wish everyone well at the museum”

Overview
The Epping Signalling Museum preserves an original London Underground signal cabin with working levers, relay room displays, and a 95-year-old L11 locomotive visitors can climb. Volunteer guides run the full experience — relay room with Underground maps and memorabilia, then the signal cabin where visitors operate actual controls with live Central Line trains visible through the windows. Visits typically run 60–90 minutes. Entry is by donation.
