“We did A Tale with Santa in the Christmas Cabin at Dalkeith Country Park in December 2025 and it was absolutely magical — beautiful decorations, wonderful atmosphere and so much attention to detail. Santa was excellent: warm, patient and very authentic-looking, and it felt like a really special festive experience for families. Just a small note for families booking: only two adults can attend per child (understandable given the cosy cabin size), and parking is paid (£3) which is clearly communicated at booking, just worth factoring in. Overall a lovely Christmas experience and we’d highly recommend.”

“We had a lovely family walk in Dalkeith Country Park in the middle of winter. The paths were easy to walk and perfect for a relaxed stroll. The park was peaceful and beautiful, even in colder weather. A great spot for a simple, enjoyable family day out.”

“They have a an extensive paid adventure playpark where we spent many hours. Paid 30 pounds I believe ( 2 children & 2 adults) Zipwires, climb nets, climbing walls, a big wooden adcenture fortress, massive jumping pillows ( trampoline) for groups of children or 2 families including parents. You can spent easily 3 hours here. Clean toilets, place to eat. Properly maintained grounds & playground. An already big parking which they are extending. Unfortunately the Go Ape was rediculously expensive. Greedflation, overpriced. If it would have been fairly priced more people & families would use it. Even though it was dry & in a holiday it seemed underbooked. The only reason why I could see was the price. A pitty, the children & the adults would have enjoyed it.”
