1 / 3Beeches Pool & Fitness Centre
📍 Birmingham, West Midlands
25-metre pool with an unusually large shallow end, making it one of the most accessible local options for beginners and young swimmers. Swimming lessons and family splash sessions run regularly.
🏆 Funzaroo Verdict
The large shallow end is a genuine asset for children learning to swim and the lifeguards earn real trust from parents. Facility condition is the overriding problem: broken toilets, hygiene notes, and a reported fire exit blockage are not minor issues. Families with disabled children have faced access difficulties.

“Beeches pool is my favourite place to go for a swim. They have a very large shallow end for children and new swimmers. So if you want to learn swimming, i highly recommend this pool. The staff and lifeguards are very friendly and helpful. The building is not very big, which works in its favour because It feels like a family run business. The toilets and changing rooms do need a refurbishment but I still prefer this pool compared to others.”
